A pattern mirror

What keeps you stuck is usually something you do well.

Most of us are not stuck because we lack information. We are stuck because a strategy that once protected us keeps running after it stopped serving us. This is a short mirror for seeing which strategies are running loudest right now.

You will read 36 statements and mark how true each one is for you lately. Not who you want to be. Not who you were at 25. You, in this season.

How to answer. Go quickly. Your first response is more honest than your third. Answer for how you actually behave, especially under pressure, not how you would like to behave. Nobody sees this but you.

Your pattern ranking

Three strategies are running loudest.

Ranked from most active to least active in your life right now. Every one of these lives in every person. The question is not whether you have them, it is which ones are driving while you think you are.

If the first card felt less like information and more like being seen, that is the pattern recognizing itself. That moment is worth more than the ranking. It also tends to fade by Tuesday.

A pattern loosens through practice in company, not through reading about it alone. Once a month I gather a room of people to do exactly this work, out loud, together. It's called The Circle. More on it at the bottom, if you want it.

If you want to go further

This mirror is free. What comes next is not for everyone.

Once a month, on the last Thursday, I gather The Circle: people who are serious about their inner work, not just curious about it. We settle in with a short meditation, look honestly at the month that just ended, journal to 1111hz, and I teach on inner work and awareness at whatever level the room needs that month. Then we set an intention for the month ahead and hold each other to it. It is the practice that turns knowing better into doing better.

It is $11 a month, or $111 for the year. Not a course. A rhythm. If the results above described you accurately and you have already read them twice, you are probably the kind of person it was built for. If it felt like a fun quiz, that is fine too, and this is not for you yet.

Not sure yet? Bring your top pattern to next month's free post. I write about one of these nine every few weeks.

A note on what this is. This is a mirror, not a diagnosis and not a box. It reads 36 statements with no context and no conversation, so treat the ranking as a starting point, not a verdict. The framework underneath it is the Enneagram, which I have worked with for years and which gets much sharper in dialogue than it ever gets on a screen. That sharper read is something I do with members of The Circle, in the room, where the pattern that showed up here can be named properly and worked with. If your top result surprised you, sit with it for a week before you argue with it. If it did not surprise you at all, ask why you already knew and have not acted.

Awareness is the first move. It is not the whole game. The pattern loosens when you catch it in real time, name it without judgment, and choose one small different action while it is still running.
